Zoey Yang makes drawings and sculptures and at times performs with them to probe their theatrical qualities, reimagining female lived experiences in alternative narratives. Her work navigates the tension of metaphorical division between the inside and the outside (of bodies, spaces, containments, and others), troubling the seemingly definitive duality of appearances and expectations.
