Zoey Yang (b. 2002) is a London-based Canadian-Chinese artist working primarily with sculpture, textile, and drawing/etching.
Her embodied practice is driven by repetitive processes of gradual deformation, ultimately treating materials as bodies subjected to constraint. Operating within cyclical temporal frameworks that lead up to the point of overwhelming precarity, her work ruminates over encounters between femininity, religious discipline, and expectations under socially imposed structures.
